The packaging industry has always been of high importance to Bekaert for its specific requirements and developments. In the last years Bekaert has extensively developed new solutions for BOPET, BOPP and CPP applications in order to enhance the filtration of the melt polymer to achieve higher quality resins and films as well as drastically reduce production costs of the film manufacturing process. Those new solutions include:
- New Bekipor® stainless steel sintered fiber media and leaf disc filter design for BOPET packaging film lines improving gel retention and overall discs filter life.
- Improved filtration system design and retrofit of existing systems in BOPP film lines for enhanced filtration capacity and finer filtration possibilities.
- New design of simplex filtration systems for CPP lines to achieve high filtration requirements for high end applications.
