Giuseppe Desirò Srl is a family-owned company which produces automatic assembly machines for aluminium caps, plastic components and combined seals, for the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, chemical and consumer industries.
Based in Florence, the company has existed since 1860, originally producing tram cars and presses for straw and felt hats before turning in the 1950s to the production of machines for the manufacture of stoppers, crown closures and aluminum caps.
The advent of plastics and the consequent revolution in the packaging industry in general prompted Giuseppe Desirò Srl to diversify into the design and manufacture of machinery for the assembly of plastic products.
Recently it has built machines for producing sweetener dispensers equipped with ultrasound welding devices, as well as creating some years ago machines for the pharmaceutical sector, which add a drying powder to closures to act as a dehumidifier.
Over time the plants have undergone a continuous and constant evolution and each assembly operation and handling of the components is always followed by a control operation. Giuseppe Desirò machines are equipped with an easy to use man-machine interface that guides the operator during everyday use and helps resolve any problems. The signals of each sensor are counted and stored in a database which can be accessed by an operator or a remote PC. Through the display and keyboard it is also possible to check and adjust the control parameters of the machine with different levels of passwords for the secure management of whole process of plant's productivity. The finished product can be used for the automatic filling of the containers with options including both multiple outputs and the handling of boxes with tape or rides.
Giuseppe Desirò Srl currently manufactures automatic machines for the assembly of:
- Closures;
- Pilfer-Proof Capsules;
- Pharmaceutical Closures;
- Specialist Machines.
Desirò’s main market is western Europe but it also sells its products in eastern Europe, Turkey, Egypt and the Middle East.
In western Europe the main market is Germany, followed by France, Spain and Italy. Moreover, an extension of the market could be possible in South America where, some years ago, the company had a strong presence until export sales were negatively affected by the exchange rate.
