Aquila has opened a new corrugated board plant on the territory of the Łódz Special Economic Zone in Radomsko. The total value of the investment amounts to over PLN 60 million.The plant has been built from scratch and specializes in the production of corrugated board in sheets, without any further processing. “The plant’s output will be intended for domestic clients from south-east Poland, i.e. mostly small and medium- sized packaging manufacturers”, informed Paweł Rogalka from the Aquila company.The plant is said to create 50 new jobs.The main shareholder of Aquila Radomsko is VPK Packaging Group, a Belgium-based provider of solutions in corrugated board and solid board packaging, tubes/cores and edge protectors. Aquila Radomsko is the second corrugated board plant in Poland, which belong to the VPK group. The first investment of the group is located in Września, Wielkopolska Province.
