Fuller’s brings its award-winning beer range to life

Fuller, Smith & Turner P.L.C., London’s only remaining traditional family brewer, is delighted to release details of the first-ever major press and poster advertising campaign for its award-winning range of beers.

Following an unprecedented year of success for the brewer’s portfolio, stunning posters, which show nine different Fuller’s bottled beers against a backdrop influenced by the beers’ colours, will run on a number of hand-picked, high-profile sites around London for two weeks from November 30. The poster sites are all back-lit so will have a dramatic presence during the dark winter days in the run up to Christmas.

In addition, the poster will appear on the 10m x 2.5m banner at the Griffin Brewery, situated on the A4 at The Hogarth Roundabout, where hundreds of thousands of motorists pass by every week.

As a further component of Fuller’s increased investment in marketing its brands this year, the poster campaign will also be supported by eye-catching strip adverts in the national quality press over three weekends from November 27.

Managing Director of The Fuller’s Beer Company, John Roberts, said: “Fuller’s is proud to have the UK’s number one selling premium ale and Britain’s favourite organic beer in London Pride and Organic Honey Dew in our stable. But alongside them, we have what I’m sure is the best selection of beers you can get from any one brewery.

“2009 has been a terrific year for our entire range of beers. They all continue to sell very well and we enjoyed amazing success recently when no less than eight of our brands won awards at the International Beer Challenge, more than any other UK brewer.

“This is the first time we have highlighted our great range in this way, and with this campaign we hope to show the breadth of beer styles you can get in the Fuller’s range. While they may differ in taste and colour, the one thing they all have in common is that when someone picks up a bottle with the Fuller’s badge on, they can be sure that the beer inside will have fantastic flavour.

“From light, refreshing beers such as Discovery Blonde Beer to traditional bitters like ESB and true connoisseurs beers such as Vintage Ale, there is enormous variety and something for everyone.

“Christmas is the perfect time to highlight this variety, as many people like to stock up to treat friends and family when they visit during the festive period. I can’t think of a better way to spread the joy of the season than with an award-winning beer from the Fuller’s family.”

As well as the range of beers highlighted in the new campaign, Fuller’s also has a strong range of beers brewed under the Gales banner, including Gales HSB and Gales Seafarers Ale, which have both had a superb year to date. Sales of Gales Seafarers Ale, launched in March this year, have so far raised over £15,000 for the maritime charity, Seafarers UK.

The imagery for the range adverts was created by Fuller’s incumbent advertising agency, Doner Cardwell Hawkins and media buying was through MediaEdge:CIA.
