PACKAGING INNOVATIONS London 2011 is set to play host to some of the world’s most innovative packaging suppliers.
Opening its doors on the 6 and 7 October 2011, at the Business Design Centre in Islington, PACKAGING INNOVATIONS London 2011 will be divided into four main areas – The Design Village, Luxury Packaging, Print for Packaging, and Contract Pack. With over 150 top companies from across the globe signed to exhibit, here are just a few exciting highlights to look out for…
Wiltshire-based Artejano Design (stand GB12) will be showcasing its latest ‘Wingman wipes’ packaging design. The packaging for the new male-grooming product can now be seen on the shelves of Boots. Commenting on the design, Artejano’s Account Director, Lizzie Scott, said: “The challenge to design packaging for a new product launch in an already cluttered male-grooming market, but with a premium product, enabled us to create a design that delivered against all of Wingman’s values and vision.”
KTEC Group (stand VG21) will be promoting the new PRIMERA brand of label printers at the show. In particular the RX900e, the first RFID colour label printer which has just been nominated for the ‘Label Industry Award for New Innovation.’ Commenting on their presence at this year’s PACKAGING INNOVATIONS London show, Robert Knox, Managing Director at KTEC Group, said: “We are particularly interested to show the full colour label printers to packaging design specialists, many of which are based in London. Whilst at the same time creating a showcase for our in house rapid label printing methods to London based manufacturing.”
One company doing something a little different this year is Curtis Packaging (stand J7), who will be supporting the Breast Cancer Charities. The company will make a donation for every order placed during the month of October and for every new contact made at the show. Visitors to their stand will also be given a free duo of pink nail polishes, kindly supplied by Mavala to encourage the ‘wear it pink’ theme.
Steve Mallett, Sales Director at Curtis, explained: “We wanted to do something different at PACKAGING INNOVATIONS London and, as our sustainable packaging expertise is widely recognised, it made sense to tie in the stand with our support of this worthwhile cause. The team will be wearing pink, but naturally our experts will be on the stand to advise visitors on the most sustainable carton packaging solutions.”
Another exciting company to be exhibiting, are first timers, Allied International (stand VG25). Zoe Woodward, Managing Director at Allied International, commented: “Allied International is very excited to be exhibiting at PACKAGING INNOVATIONS London 2011. We are first time exhibitors and feel this show offers us the ideal platform to launch our new company brand identity and to introduce our company concept to a broad and targeted audience. Allied International is a leading supplier of premium value-adding packaging. The difference between a great concept and a spectacularly finished product is down to project management. This is what Allied International offers with our ability to provide inspiration, organise ideas, and plan and execute the production process with a high level of attention to detail.”
Allied International will be showcasing a large range of packaging that they are developing for luxury brand Tipperary Crystal, whilst highlighting different packaging styles that can be used to add value to products and increase the consumer experience.
To mark a new relationship within the British packaging design industry, Synergie Packaging and Burgopak Design (stand H7) together with Kodak, will be combining innovation, practicality, quality and vast industry knowledge and experience. Providing a broader range of products and dedicated services in packaging design, the range on display will include the MiSuny iPower4 slider pack, a clever retail-ready POS solution demonstrating the ability to show a product in an exciting way while ensuring product protection and ease of opening. Synergie and Burgopak are also holding an exciting prize draw across the two days giving every visitor the chance to win great prizes including a Kodak Digital Camera and a MiSuny iPower 4 solar panel charger.
