NEW Virtu Quantum from Polytype to receive world-wide launch at drupa 2012

Grand format print solutions provider Digital Print Innovations Ltd (DPI) has  announced that Polytype will be launching the ground breaking Virtu Quantum at Drupa.

Visitors to DRUPA will witness the official world-wide release of the new Virtu Quantum, a wide-format flatbed digital ink-jet printing platform that delivers a blend of quality and speed hitherto unavailable in the marketplace.

Stewart Bell, Managing Director of DPI, will be at DRUPA and is looking forward to welcoming UK and Ireland customers to the Polytype stand for the launch.

“It has been fantastic representing the Virtu range in the UK and Ireland, and I am really looking forward to being at the launch of the Virtu Quantum and demonstrating the new machine to customers at DRUPA in Dusseldorf.”

Available in widths of 2.5m and 3.5m, the UV-curable machine incorporates high-definition 10pl print-heads, specially integrated by Polytype to produce 1,400dpi resolution for lush, rich images suited to a range of industrial and display applications.

As Stewart Bell comments, “Polytype's wide format technologies are renowned in the marketplace for their exceptional build quality and ability to deliver outstanding quality.”

The new Virtu Quantum engine speeds reach an impressive 300sq m/hour in production mode and a sporty 150 to 180sq m/hour in photographic mode, meaning that business owners no longer have to compromise between image quality and turnaround time when making large capital investments in their wide-format machinery.

DPI was founded in 2009 by Stewart Bell, who has twenty years experience in the print industry.  The Digital Print Innovation Centre is centrally located in Derby, UK and was opened in October 2011 in response to demand from customers and suppliers and is a leading venue for viewing and demonstrating equipment for the grand and wide format print industry.
