According to a prognosis by the Packaging Observatory* from autumn 2011, 65% of French buyers asked were planning to increase investments, in comparison to 57% in 2010 in the same period. This dynamic seems to be mirrored by packaging suppliers - judging by the excellent enrolment rate for this year’s number one packaging event: the international trade fair EMBALLAGE, which takes place in Paris 19-22 November this year.

For its 40th edition EMBALLAGE once again gathers the key industry players from the food, beverage, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, luxury, retail and industry sectors… over four days rich in exchanges, demonstrations and product presentations.
As a multi-specialist exhibition with a fine-tuned sectorisation, EMBALLAGE delivers a global offering reflecting the whole packaging chain from materials through design to finished products: raw materials; converting and processing machines; primary and secondary packaging machines; printing, marking and labelling machines; containers and packaging accessories.
Eight months before its opening the trade fair has already passed the mark of 1000 registered exhibitors (49% of them international), with 83% of the floor space occupied. Currently, the top five most represented countries (after France) remain the same as in 2010: Italy, Germany, Turkey, Spain and Belgium.
Some significant increases have been reported with exhibitors from Turkey, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and some countries that were absent in 2010 will exhibit for the first time, or return (e.g. Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Norway, Vietnam).
Many leading companies will be returning, including Arol Group, Coesia Group, KHS, Gerhard Schubert, Harro Höfliger, G. Marchesini, G. Mondini, Sew Usocome, and others. Discover all registered 2012 exhibitors in the online catalogue.
Visitor numbers have also increased on the website www.emballageweb.com, and they are already up by 50%. The site has had 450,000 visits since November – a veritable online fair in advance of the physical fair!
A wealth of information and new applications is available to optimise the four days of international meetings. The 40th edition of the famous exhibition, which was founded in 1947, will be an occasion for networking and adding value – the place to be is Paris and nowhere else!
