In the future, Dutch municipalities will be given a special annual financial support from the packaging chain to finance new anti-litter measures agreed with industry (Packaging Framework Agreement 2013-2022 between Ministry, municipalities and industry).

There will also be a special “impulse programme” against litter, financed by the ministry, municipalities and industry.
