The certificate catalogue includes all current Normpack certificates and is avaliable for everyone at www.innventia.com/normpack. This allows food manufacturers, retailers, public authorities and consumers to easily search for, or check the materials and articles that are approved for being in contact with food.
The new version of the certificate catalogue, which is updated on a daily basis, facilitates searchability. Certificates are classified by the food groups for which the material is approved, according to the classification of foods for materials and articles of L 10/2011 / EEC:
• Drinks
• Cereals, cereal products, pastry, biscuits, cakes and other bakers’ wares
• Chocolate, sugar and products thereof, confectionery products
• Fruit, vegetables and products thereof
• Fats and oils
• Animal products and eggs
• Milk products
• Miscellaneous Products
In addition to these food groups there is also a list with descriptions of the food.
The Normpack group currently has about 200 member companies from across the packaging value chain and the catalogue includes over 500 certified materials and articles. The members are actively working with self-control and certified products in accordance to the NormpackNorm. Normpack certificates are unique in Sweden and are well accepted in the Nordic countries and the EU.
The trade and industry group Normpack, operated by Innventia, has since 1981 worked actively with information, advice and certification based on self-control for consumers to be able to rely on the safety of food packaging. The group is therefore important in terms of public confidence in the packaging industry.
