The Stephenson Road site, which is also home to the company’s new £1m Innovation Centre, has held Grade A BRC accreditation for many years and has now achieved a Grade AA under the revised Issue 5 of the BRC Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials, which sets even more rigorous requirements for companies to attain.

“We know that everyone at PFF always works to the highest standards so we’re delighted that this has been officially recognised,” said Elaine Hall, Group Operations Director at PFF Packaging. “For our customers, BRC Grade AA is the reassurance that our products are made in a safe, quality-minded environment that complies with all relevant legislation.”
The Grade AA accreditation for PFF’s Washington site comes just a few months after its sister factory in Keighley, North Yorkshire, also achieved the double AA rating at its annual renewal – confirmation, says Elaine, that the highest standards are applied and achieved throughout the whole business.
The PFF Packaging Group, which was established in 1993, delivers innovative and sustainable packaging solutions to the UK’s major food manufacturers and retailers. The company employs a total of 240 people based either at the 100,000 sq ft Washington site, or at the company’s headquarters and additional manufacturing site in Keighley.
