International Paper considering sale of its European packaging division
International Paper is in discussions with prospective bidders regarding the potential sale of its EMEA packaging business. In a statement,
Cazcabel Tequila has redesigned the bottle for its Blanco and Reposado tequilas, with the new 70cl bottle rolling out in the UK and Europe from October, followed by new 75cl and 1L bottles in the US from January 2027. The new design highlights the brand's family estate, field-to-glass story and its premium positioning in a fast-maturing category.
The redesign centres on the agave piña, the heart of tequila. According to the company, it celebrates the family's pride that Cazcabel is made only from agave grown on their own estate, where they have farmed for four generations. The shape appears twice: in the outline and border of the front label, and in the domed punt in the base of the bottle. Embossed glass details the production process, and a redesigned neck label carries three icons representing the family's agave, the highlands of Los Altos de Jalisco, and the tree at the centre of the Hacienda Cazcabel courtyard. The estate's coordinates, its altitude of 1,964 metres and the signature of maestra tequilera Yadira Hernández also appear on pack.
The design is intended to reflect Cazcabel's position as a 'true field-to-glass brand', as both agave farmer and tequila producer, enabling unparalleled quality control and taking full responsibility for embedding sustainable practices throughout the process, from GLOBALG.A.P. certified agave farming to a distillery that is 95% solar powered.
"We're very excited to bring the new bottle to market, as we think it really begins to allow us to share the field-to-glass story of Cazcabel, our pride in being the fourth generation of agave farmers in the Vazquez family, and to put a focus on the importance of agave within tequila," said Uziel Vazquez, Co-Founder of Cazcabel Tequila.
The company confirms that nothing has changed in the liquid. Cazcabel Blanco and Reposado remain 100% Blue Weber agave, distilled at Hacienda Cazcabel in Atotonilco el Alto (NOM 1436), and made using only agave, water and yeast.
