[**Orkka**](https://orkka.co.uk/?ref=packagingeurope.com) **has revealed its Hand Stretch Film Dispenser, part of its Pallet Performance range and designed to provide greater control for operators, more consistency, less bending and strain and reduced film waste.**

The dispenser is applied one-handed, aiming to allow greater visibility and situational awareness for operators. It is suitable for operations across the food and beverage, e-commerce, retail and manufacturing sectors.

Available in two builds – with or without a handle – operators can choose the format that suits them. Orkka adds that the system’s adjustable, lockable tension sets the ideal wrap and holds it, supporting consistent wrapping across sites, better film yield and less wastage.

The aluminium construction is designed to withstand daily use while keeping operator effort low. Tool-free roll changes are said to reduce unnecessary downtime and keep wrapping moving.

The company says a strong magnetic mount holds the dispenser on racking or forklifts when not in use to protect the film roll, releasing quickly and easily when required. The new dispenser is compatible with pre-stretch and standard films and available in 430mm and 520mm widths.

In other news, [Innovia Films](https://packagingeuropeltd-my.sharepoint.com/personal/fb%5Fpackagingeurope%5Fcom/Documents/My%20Work/Articles/replace%20aluminium%20foil%20in%20polypropylene-based%20laminate%20structures?ref=packagingeurope.com) recently [introduced](https://www.packagingeurope.com/innovia-films-reveals-new-high-barrier-metallized-bopp-film/) Propafilm CHBM, an ultra-high barrier metallized BOPP film said to provide ‘exceptional’ product protection and improve recyclability by replacing aluminium foil in polypropylene-based laminate structures. The new film is suitable for high-performance flexible mono-material packaging such as food packaging and stand up and flat pouches.

At the start of this month, [Nivea](https://www.nivea.co.uk/?ref=packagingeurope.com) announced it has [teamed up](https://www.packagingeurope.com/nivea-and-exxonmobil-develop-collation-shrink-film-with-pcr-pe-content/) with [ExxonMobil Signature Polymers](https://www.exxonmobilchemical.com/en/products/signature-polymers?ref=packagingeurope.com), [Green Worms](https://www.greenworms.org/?ref=packagingeurope.com) and Vardhaman Polypacks to integrate post-consumer recycled (PCR) polyethylene (PE) content into collation shrink film for its skincare products, aligning with its Net Zero target for 2045\. The film is said to achieve a 22% PCR content dosage.
