[**Mars Snacking**](https://www.mars.com/our-brands/mars-snacking?ref=packagingeurope.com) **has introduced a resealable canister for its Cheez-It and Club crackers, designed to help consumers keep the products fresh while eating on the go.**

Available at select retailers across the United States, the new ‘pack-and-go’ format now applies to Mars’ Cheez-It Original, Cheez-It Grooves Minis Sharp White Cheddar, and Club Minis Original products.

These containers are set to help consumers carry and eat their crackers in different environments – all while ensuring the food itself stays crunchy until the last bite.

“Easy, on-the-go snacking is a top need for our fans,” said Nicole Sorensen, VP of Marketing, Crackers at Mars Snacking. “By bringing these popular *Cheez-It* and *Club* crackers to this grab-and-go format, we’re giving people a simple way to enjoy their favourites anywhere, anytime.”

In its [latest sustainability report](https://packagingeurope.com/news/mars-designs-67-of-packaging-for-recycling-reuse-or-compost-in-latest-report/14456.article?ref=packagingeurope.com), Mars states that 67.6% of its consumer-facing packaging is currently designed to be reusable, recyclable or compostable. Its website states that the company’s ‘highest priority’ is to ‘significantly reduce’ its use of virgin plastic, eliminate ‘problematic and unnecessary’ packaging materials from its portfolio, and prevent its waste products from contaminating recycling streams or the natural environment.
