PackIntelX has developed EasyDoC, a digital solution intended to help smaller businesses complete Declarations of Conformity and comply with the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) in three steps.
EasyDoC implements one guided workflow to complete mandatory documentation – streamlining separate documents, spreadsheets, and manual formatting and translation processes into a single process to reduce repetitive administrative work.
Users can enter information about their product and packaging, answer relevant compliance questions, and follow a guided three-step process to generate a structured Declaration of Conformity in up to ten languages. These can then be downloaded and centrally stored for future access.
This solution caters to companies that require a ‘fast and practical’ approach to generating a Declaration of Conformity. It targets companies with smaller packaging portfolios that may struggle with the workload of compiling data and generating documentation for multiple end markets – especially after the European Parliament held a debate on the PPWR’s impact, burden and challenges for SMEs last month.
“PPWR compliance should be proportionate to the operational reality of the company,” says Siddharth Bagri, managing director of PackIntelX. “A company with a limited number of packaging types does not necessarily need a complex compliance infrastructure. EasyDoC provides a focused way to turn the required information into a structured EU Declaration of Conformity quickly and consistently.”
According to PackIntelX, customers do not need to implement a comprehensive compliance management system to use EasyDoC – but the system is also designed to complement the company’s PPWR platform for companies managing larger packaging portfolios, supplier networks, and end-to-end compliance processes.
PackIntelX’s comprehensive platform is also said to cover packaging data management such as automated Declaration of Conformity and Technical Documentation processes, structured collection and review for supplier evidence, and testing services to comply with Article 5 of the Regulation.
In similar news, Specright’s Declaration of Conformity reporting capability is designed to help companies quickly and easily source documents across workflows to comply with the PPWR. This ‘audit-ready’ system uses the AI-powered Supplier Collaboration solution to avoid the time-consuming process of sourcing paperwork across company operations.
R-Cycle and TILISCO have also unveiled their PPWR Compliance Compass, a software-as-service-solution that uses AI-powered data capturing to extract and aggregate all relevant packaging data from various sources and generate a Declaration of Conformity. Users can also request missing information directly from their suppliers within the tool.
